TIME TO TAKE A BREAK FOR YOURSELF

Ugh… I can't catch up with life anymore, its rhythm is getting out of control! I really find myself most time not adapting to the current situation, especially when it’s going increasingly tense, no matter it’s work, school, family or etc.. I tried to push myself but soon it got really exhausted at the end of the day, worse as I'll need more time to recharge myrself (especially being an introvert, hehe). I believe everyone wants to present the best of ourselves in everywhere possible, therefore the best is if we could balance ourselves emotionally, physically and mentally. Here are some tips that I find amusing yet effective, I want to share with you before you are consumed by your tiredness!

Tip 1# - Take a slower step!

Rushing somehow makes us dog-tired, while slowing down doesn’t necessarily make us fall apart from the situation! Allow yourself to take a 5-15 minutes break each hour in between works, adjust your breathing, let your body relax and take a sip of a cup of tea/coffee, meanwhile be observant of what is happening around you! I promise the result will surprise you although it’s only a short minutes, my whole body and mind function MUCH better after this break!

Tip 2# - Bye-bye to your phone

People tend to grab their phone first thing when they wake up. Checking e-mail or social media leads to unconsciously replying to everything and before you know it, it’s time to get up and get ready for work. Whatever news or message you read before you start the day, some are negative enough to ruin your whole day. Leave the phones alone, make time for meditation, journal, planner and finally... breakfast (the most important meal of the day)!

Tip 3# - Remind yourself that you’re doing GREAT

Don’t let deadlines and a demanding duty let you down. Remind yourself your accomplishment, your achievement, your worth, because you deserve the credit of your hard works! Every area has its puzzle, do what you can to avoid negativity, or to seek distraction from overthinking. You can be positive even if you're an optimist like me!

Tip 4# - Get enough ZZZs

I am a 100% night owl, but that doesn't stop me from waking up early with my physical alarm at 6:30am. I used to play video games or watch series before bed, it triggered the adrenaline in my body and definitely gave me hard times to fall asleep after. I've learnt to dim the light 30 minutes before bed, it helps to signal my brain that I'm going to rest. Sleep is so important, your appearance and behaviour changes if you don't get enough sleep. Let's practice the routine of getting the 8 hours PERFECT SLEEP!

Tip 5# - Step out of toxicity

Not everything we experience is pleasant, some drain us out completely, friendship, relationship, social-media or anything that could possibly make you feel this way. I realised I put so much energy in people-pleasing, faking happiness in situation that I know is I didn't enjoy, I was losing myself by fitting into other's standard. Learn to sat "NO", move on to achieve what we really want, what makes us US. Please know that saying "no" will not make you a bad person, getting to know your limit will definitely distance you from toxicity!

So these are the tips that I want to share, not so much that will overload your head. Thank you for reading, I hope this blog will perform magic in your new routine!
